I personally don’t see the irony in it. All of those guys have played hundreds more snaps than Arch. Arch’s toughest start came vs a Mississippi State team that was blown out by Toledo.

Playing Texas week one is much better for Ohio State though. Offensive line takes the longest to gel and become a cohesive unit.

It could be. I think it’ll be OSU -5.5 by game-time. A lot of casual bettors right now who believe Ohio State is the only team in this matchup to lose talent from last year’s game. Also, a lot of unearned Arch hype right now. Professionals are going to let this line drop as much as possible and then hammer Ohio State at 9am on 8/30.

Yup, 100%. There’s a reason Vegas has this under a FG line.

I wasn’t talking about Texas fans by the way. I was talking about the set up around the stadium. The mini state fair games, the silent DJ on the hill, such a good time.

Yup, still to this do NO LOSS has EVER effected me more than the ‘05 loss to Texas. None of the losses to Michigan, none of the losses in national championship games, that game f’d me up for a while.

Yeah, Texas fans don’t deserve that. Tennessee fans however, I’m glad they got the Texas treatment. There is no trashier fan base than Tennessee.

I actually really like Bjork. I know this is probably taboo to say here, but I think A&M has one of the best, if not the best atmospheres in college football. I think from his time in the SEC, he’s trying to bring a lot of that to Ohio State. From President Ted Carter, down to Bjork and then Day, Ohio States administration has ever been more aligned in regards to the football program in my life. I have been to DKR by the way, recently too, and I always tell my friends, Texas does tailgating and everything outside of the stadium right, is a great time.- SEC implementing nine game conference schedule in 2026
Notre Dame will eventually be in the B1G. Most people believe by 2030.- SEC implementing nine game conference schedule in 2026
Yeah, I think it’s a given that it will be 16. Hopefully the B1G leadership gives up on the ridiculous 4+4+2+2 model in favor of the 5+11 model. The media that covers the B1G always said that that was the compromise the B1G wanted to agree to 5+11.- SEC implementing nine game conference schedule in 2026
This is a W for college football fans.- Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
I can only speak for myself. I will be back regardless to tell ya'll good game and I hope to visit Austin (for the second time) next September.- Ohio St. names Sayin as starter

Yeah, that's a very bad take. Patricia is going to be good, but will he be good enough, quickly enough to win on 8/30? We don't know. I like Ohio State's defense a lot versus Texas offense personally.- The Film Guy
If Ohio State is able to win this game, I think they have a lot of success in the middle of the field. Whether that is James Peoples & CJ Donaldson Jr running between the guards, or Max Klare and Brandon Innis in the seams.- The Way to Beat Texas??????
I'm as curious as ya'll to see what type of defense Patricia runs. One thing that is different with the way NFL DC's call a defense versus college DC's is that Knowles had his scheme and ran it no matter who they were playing. Where as "supposedly" Patricia has a specific game plan for each opponent based on that teams strength's or weaknesses. Can it work in college? We will see.- Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
I think Patrcia is going to be very good personally, I have alot of faith in Day’s hiring.- Ohio St. names Sayin as starter

I do agree with you that it is a misconception that his Patriots’ defenses were stifling. They were more of a bend but don’t break defense that buckled down in the red zone. Having said that, college football is a step down from professional football and if you’re good enough for Bill Belichick then you’re good enough for me.- Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
Losing Ransom could potentially be a much bigger deal than we realize, but hopefully Jaylen McClain or Malik Hartford step up in a big way, but until they do it has do be considered a downgrade. As for CB2, Jermaine Matthews Jr is probably already better than Denzel Burke was, and has a higher ceiling. If those two would have been in the same class, I don't think Burke ever would have started over Matthews Jr. I look at it as a Quinn Ewers vs. Arch situation. Arch was clearly the future with a higher ceiling, but he was never going to surpass Ewers on the depth chart (unless Ewers came back this season of course), and the same goes for Denzel Burke.- Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
I feel like these are all rational takes. I think Ohio State's OT's are going to be very good, even better than last season but Texas' DE's are advantage Texas against anybody. In my personal opinion, I think Ohio State is going to have more success running against Texas than they did in the Cotton Bowl. Ohio State returns their entire IOL, plus Texas is replacing their top 4 DT's (from my understanding at least). I know that Texas brought in a bunch of bodies in the portal, so we will see.- Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
I get ya. I guess it doesn't matter because regardless Texas runs the perfect scheme to counter what Ohio State wants to do in the passing game, so I'm not expecting anything to come easier than it did in the Cotton Bowl, unless Max Klare truly is that great of a receiving threat (compared to Gee Scott Jr), to where he opens everything up.- Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
Bringing up RB3, I can tell this man knows his stuff! I can see Bo Jackson possibly overtaking CJ Donaldson Jr as RB2, however James Peoples should be a very good lead back. I think most Ohio State fans would be surprised if James Peoples isn’t RB1 the rest of his time at Ohio State. He’s been compared to JK Dobbins a lot. - Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
