  1. That’s part of the problem with the play call. We weren’t great at running the play in the first place. If you ranked our plays in order of execution, that one was well down the list.
  2. Perhaps not directly……….but maybe something something about time, something about resources…… Yeah, I’m guessing wagers are never done during company time for anyone. At this point, I’m not exactly sure what my personnel manual says.
  3. Shouldn’t you be setting a better example for today’s youth?
  4. In their wins over UNC they gave up 3 runs and 2 runs. In game 1, it was tied 3-3 then all 6 OU runs after that were via non-home runs. In game 3, only 1 of OUs first 10 runs was via home run. In their first 3 CWS games, they gave up 0, 3, and 4. Versus Bama, only two of the 9 runs were from homers. In their Super they gave up 1 and 2 runs. They were up 7-1 in one of those games before their first homer. In the other game, KU didn’t score until the 8th. In their final game in the regional they scored 3 runs via home run. But down 7-3 heading into the 7th all 4 runs scored to send it to extras were scored via something other than a homer. In their 7 wins in the Super Regional and CWS, they gave up no more than 4 runs, and that 4th run in that game was up 8 in the 9th. Team ERA just above 2.00 in those 7 wins. They won it all because they were playing the best all around game.
  5. If Rodriguez is healthy and the guy Schloss believes he is, his power and overall production could increase considerably. Laya, I’m sure would be fine, but he was terrible in the Super. For those that criticize our guys for weak CWS performance. i have no idea about the incoming freshman, but a program like Texas should receive immediate contribution from at least one incoming freshman. Mendoza should improve back to his better self too. Pack could increase power numbers even if the average doesn’t quite hold.
  6. That’s good. Some of us have to change things up to remain safe.
  7. May be premature. Are you certain they are someone you want back? And I ask that as someone who has been scolded a time or two maybe thrice for my behavior.
  8. Robbins and Armstrong had multiple good years with year 2 better than year 1. Armstrong has quite a bit of experience and against some decent competition. A great get.
  9. When runs are at a premium, this should have done sooner. Larsen wasn’t the OBP guy he was earlier in the season.
  10. Interesting. Attorney-client privilege type deal? The discussion was regarding integrity of the game. If persons turned blind eyes…….
  11. https://texaslonghorns.com/sports/football/roster/kai-money/10673 This makes no reference to him starting.
  12. I’ve never gotten over that OU game I missed due to a wedding. Just something to think about.
  13. You are living in a conference with those with a history of wrong doing, no?
  14. I don’t recall the new parameters. Top 4 conference champions advance? I’d think the committee could black ball them. Big 12 opponents could raise a stink too.
  15. Watching Georgia extend their starter then struggle from the pen and MSU using a starter to hang on are pretty solid indicators of how other programs feel about their bullpens. I am not even sure what Oregon was doing - two low use relievers then a guy that had started.
  16. How else is one to proclaim “I’m a man” other to make such a proclamation on a message board?
  17. A bit of an odd question, but I have my reasons. Any idea which junior high he attended?
  18. I’m not sure to what part of my post this response pertains. If you just wanted to reiterate the point you stated, point taken. Perhaps my post wasn’t clear, but I was merely pointing out to 4th that we have a former Beaver hanging out on our 2nd team. The inference being that our 3rd team losing to OSU would not necessarily be a problem. So what you’re saying is that Sark took a shot at a dozen teams not Tech? I guess that’s better.
  19. Well we did grab an Oregon State dude that was a starter then a backup who presumably is 2nd team for us. So maybe tap the breaks a tad.
  20. ACC guys lack the will to win.
  21. Brandon Weeden, Drew Henson. We haven’t seen much of this lately so maybe that’s why it feels less familiar.
  22. Two of my favorites. If they aren’t yours, something is amiss.
