Urban Meyer and Joel Klatt talk Texas at Ohio State
Yep Texas is long overdue for another national championship in football. A program like Texas should win one at least once every ten seasons and get to that game at least twice a decade if they have their spit together from the top down. That’s basically what Ohio State has done this century. Hoping to get at least one in the Manning era and go from there. At least the next natties Texas wins will be legit, so there’s that.

Arch This Week in Practice (Wednesday 3:30 p.m.)
How much more do you think we'll see Arch Manning line up directly under center this season compared to the QBs Sark has worked with in the past? Obviously I don't expect him to do it as much as his QBs did back in the Pete Carroll era, but I'm curious how often they do that outside of short yardage and goal line situations.

Sarkisian on Emmett Mosley V Status (Wednesday 12:45 p.m.)
Don’t like that Mosley is injured, but this is a great opportunity for the young WRs Chris Jackson recruited from high school to step up. That experience will bode well for them when they get into conference play and beyond.

Texas is the 4th Most Talented Roster Heading into the 2025 College Football Season
I agree, but if you sort that list by average, they are #2 behind Georgia. That sounds about right. What I find the most interesting about this list is two of the top picks to win the natty, Penn State and Clemson, are just inside the top 10. They're going the Michigan route by trying to win with experienced rosters.

Texas is the 4th Most Talented Roster Heading into the 2025 College Football Season
Comparing this to previous years, this is further proof the talent gap between Texas and the top programs in college football is closing. If you sort by player average, Texas is #2 on this list. These rankings don't tell the entire story, but it is a testament to the job Sark and his staff have done turning this roster around since they arrived. Just need to add some more hardware to the trophy case. https://247sports.com/season/2025-football/collegeteamtalentcomposite/

Youtube TV-Fox
Almost like they’ve trying to make all forms of live TV unaffordable for most. Good thing I don’t watch much besides live sports. I have found alternative methods to watch the few channels I actually care about.

Over or Under?
Over Over Over Over Under Over Honorable mention - Over on Mason Shipley hitting at least 80% of his field goal attempts this season.

Ohio State news and notes (Updated Sunday 10:10 AM)
Yeah, and I would argue that they should have returned to the natty game despite replacing VY with McCoy. Unfortunately, McCoy got hurt against K-State and A&M and Texas lost both of those games. If they had won both of those games, they would've beaten Nebraska in the Big 12 title game and gotten into the natty game over Florida. Could've had a rematch in Glendale that season. That team was basically the '05 team minus VY and a couple of other key contributors.

Potential 2026 Schedule..
I don't think Texas will get Alabama again int the regular season until 2028. I think they will get Missouri instead. But still, that's a tough schedule, but will be the new norm for the SEC and Big 10 going forward.

College Football Zero Week Thread
Nice! If Chris Jackson's high school recruited WRs (Wingo and Livingstone mainly) have good seasons, Texas wins in Columbus, and they make a $trong push for him, I wouldn't rule it out. Maybe the Mater Dei connection between Jackson and Henry wins out by December.

Wish Texas could flip him, but that would require a win in Columbus and Wingo to have a monster season.

Never mind. Gutsy call. Doesn't matter if he scored or not. Probably better for ISU if he didn't because they can run the clock out after the 2 minute timeout.
