Reason For DC Switch?
Great offense will beat great defense so the Washington game doesn’t bother me. Their QB was on that night - we didn’t hold up our side of the”great offense” against their not so great defense. The fact we can’t run on anyone with a pulse is deflating. I’m ok with a new DC that forces more of the action to the offense but until sark lives up to his billing we aren’t winning a natty

Reason For DC Switch?
Have to go back to 2023? We gave up 31 (wash), 24 (Houston) and 34 (OU). All games with a better offense we win. I’m not a PK lover but his unit largely performed - his late game defense was frustrating but not as much as Sark’s zero point halves.

Reason For DC Switch?
Thank you! Another person who watches the games. If Sark’s offense was anywhere near our defense we have a natty. Hopefully this is the year

Reason For DC Switch?
This is where people don’t understand. The defense held Vandy to 10 pts all game and gave the Longhorns short fields to score. Yes they should’ve been better in the 4th but they stupidly went into prevent, had some bad calls against them and injuries. If the offense scores one touchdown in the 4th we’re not talking about the defense. Sark goes halves all the time without scoring. That’s the bigger problem to me.

Reason For DC Switch?
Kinda comical when Texas scored a total of zero points in the 4q. One touchdown and no one talks about the defense. Let’s hope Sark’s offense finally shows up

Will Flood be coaching him?

Jalen Lott Has Signed With Oregon (Thurs 6:07 PM)
We don’t really rotate WR or play them early. Plus we aren’t really a WR friendly offense as sark likes to sit on the ball. Look at the stats of Wingo, Moore, etc.

Snap Judgments: Texas defies the odds and saves its season with a 45-38 overtime win over Mississippi State
I think most of the problems start and end with the OL. It’s terrible

O-line leadership
And it starts with coaching
-
OL Solutions
We recruit 4-5 OL every year but none besides Goosby are ready to play. It’s not the players it’s the coaching. Hutson is a problem no matter where he plays and so is Robertson. Our OL is soft, don’t understand who to block and often lazy
-
The Truth is
We have flaws that were masked the last two years in close victories. They are exposed this year - it’s not rebuilding

Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza is playing at an incredible level
Drafted him on my fantasy team. What he was able to do on those cal teams was impressive. Figured he’d take off once in a better system
