When it comes to EDGE, does that really matter at Texas? I mean as much as we rotate our DL as a whole? In 24, Simmons wasn’t a “starter” but he certainly played a hefty amount and made a name for himself. Maybe this is all null and void now that PK is gone, but I have to imagine there’s still quite a rotation at EDGE in muschamps system where you are playing quite a bit even without being a “starter”

Guy finally sees a few winning seasons and thinks he has all the answers. You aren’t losing recruits because you don’t have 4/5 stars being chased by middle tier p4 teams. You have 30 year old grown men in their 9th year of college playing for you guys.

Massive mistake imo. Dude was a sure fire top pick and likely QB2 in the draft. Next years class is loaded with talent. i get avoiding the jets, but odds aren’t high they won’t be in the same spot next year along with the same middling teams
