A&M is spending a lot of money. They’re desperate. I’m just hoping Maddy is smart enough to take visits and not commit on the spot. Ford is a horrible coach and A&M doesn’t develop pitchers, but she’s a good recruiter. She lies and gives bags. These players need to do their research on Ford as she’s not well liked by past players and has a reputation for having a bad locker room culture. Texas is interested in Azua but I don’t know anything about potential visits. Teagan and Maddy did start following each other on IG yesterday though.

Mike White hires well. He’s used to it because his coaches are always getting head coaching jobs. I miss Singleton and he had a rough first year at Cal.

Fortunately, it’s not that bad. Players truly love Texas, each other, White and the coaching staff. The issue is with Earleywine alone. And he’s a stark difference than Singleton who players really liked.

I’m not going to name sources but I’ve had conversations with a current player’s mom and an ex player’s mom.

He might be a good hitting coach but his style and antics don’t mesh well with the players. Coach Z doesn’t even have a job lined up yet.

If Katie, Kayden, Teagan, and Vivi were seniors, they’d be leaving. Still feel that way? Players don’t like him. There is a reason for Atwood and Goode’s slump. I’m taking these players any day over a coach who’s been fired from several jobs due to verbal abuse.

No one likes Earleywine, including the players, except Mike White.

Swan is visiting Texas today.

I’m not going to gossip too much but she’s not the type of player that would fit with the Texas culture. Her and her mom are headaches.

Swan graduated and is a grad transfer. But, you’re correct. White has even commented on it and his transfers usually have two years of eligibility left.

There have been some rumors linking her to Texas and I don’t know why. Yes, she follows a lot of Texas accounts and players, but she also started following Tech and OU softball before her announcement to transfer, too. She’s limited to 3rd base only, by the way.

This is true. I truly believe that Texas/White improves and develops players anyway. Kaiah also started the year off extremely hot, but slumped during SEC play. But she got hot again when Texas needed it.

I honestly don’t know the answer to that. She primarily played second base and catcher at Georgetown HS and was signed as a Catcher/Utility player. I know Baylor is very interested in her so it would not surprise me if she ended up there either.

Serious question: you want Teagan throwing to a freshman? I don’t. I’d love an experienced catcher while the youngsters learn and grow. Softball America has also said some schools might want Swan to play in the outfield. I don’t know if that’s what Swan wants to do though.

And they still won’t win. Maybe they should invest in a good coach instead. That’s when I will start to worry. Tech isn’t going to do anything more than they did last year. Last year was disgusting and diabolical. They have very few holes to fill. And, yes, I am very aware of the rumors. Speaking of rumors, there’s another school in Texas that will make things difficult for Tech regarding Isa. Tech isn’t the only one involved.

This is awesome. Thanks for posting. I am not sure about Bordi. She was suddenly removed from the online roster in April and she removed “Texas Softball” from her IG bio. There are some rumors on Softball forums that she is no longer on the team.

You’re right. These players are special and love Texas. I’m just scarred from WBB portal season. 😂

I don’t know if the law school information is true but if so, that’s impressive. Coach Zaleski started following her on X last week. I really like Azua, but I know many programs want her, including A&M. Coach Earleywine started following her on X last week, while Coach White and Patty Ruth already followed her. Both would be excellent additions.

No, I am concerned about keeping our current roster, but Bobby addressed that. Portal additions are great, but retention is key. Other boards are daydreaming about stealing Kavan, Stewart and Henry. I’d hate to lose any of the current team because of money. In today’s NIL era and after the WBB season, I can be concerned. 🙄
