As an Arizona local and ASU grad: They feel like a lover scorned. If those two switch pre-snap to leverage matchups, they shift the advantage to the defense in a way few can. Texas will play a lot of great QBs this year, but Boom might bring the only dynamic defense they see before the draft.

@Rod Babers @CJ Vogel if Texas finished 6th in starting field position in 2024 with 21.3%, how much can they improve that advantage in 2025 with this defense? And how does that change the offensive strategy in 2025 knowing they’ll have more shots on goal than every team they play?

Texas ranked 6th last year in best starting field position - 21% of drives started at their 40 or better. Tennessee had 29% and #2 was at 25%. Quinn wasn’t efficient at taking advantage of it but if Arch does and our defense increases that % to 25-29% Texas will crush opponents even if Arch and the Texas offense don’t break stats records because he has 5-10 fewer yards to score than everyone else in college football.
