So there’s obviously been a change of thinking within the Texas brass of paying players that will contribute right away vs developing and paying freshmen. This is clearly year 1 of that change with a great freshmen class coming in. Everyone needs to simmer a bit especially WR wise. Coleman will be a luxury and what would feel like a Christmas bonus but it’s not the end of the world. Dude wasn’t a top 5 QB in the conference alone and thought he should be getting paid so. Once Sampson went out vs Ohio State that game was over. The entire offense revolved around Sampson and you can easily see why. Tennessee won this 100%. The boxing guy should stick to just that!:)

This is such a stupid statement. In no way is Nico’s production on the field worth anywhere near what him and his buddies are asking. He is not a premium player at all. He’s basically a carton of milk with 2 days left to drink it to your point…. If I have the best milk with a shelf stable life on it that I know I can sell at a higher rate is one thing, but Nico certainly isn’t that.

Last year he threw 19 TD. 11 came vs Chattanooga, UTEP and Vanderbilt. 4 of 9 in SEC play came vs Vandy. This dude deserves to be told to take a hike.

Like I said don’t just limit it to going to the NBA. How about all the legends retiring because of where the sport was headed at the time? It’s not a dumb complaint at all, like I said it’s the same as free agency starting before the postseason in the nfl/nba. Why would that make any sense at all? I can’t disagree with this more. Why do you think college coaches keep jumping ship to go to the pros? They basically have no life so I sympathize with that a lot. I think it’s completely outrageous/pathetic that they have to be recruiting their own team to come back WHILE THEIR STILL COMPETING. Tom Izzo’s rant was incredible…. Can you imagine if the NFL/NBA had free agency and the draft ALL before their postseason’s?? No because it’s ludicrous and stupid. That’s what college sports is right now.

Gerry, Bobby, CJ, please inform me because I am genuinely curious if there is an end in sight. The transfer portal and NIL ERA are beyond ridiculous right now. This window for basketball is proving that if it hasn’t already. Do any of you guys know if there is an end in sight to fixing all this crap?
