  1. Larson, Borba and Pendergrass are due up this inning.
  2. A-Rod and Pack avoid a disaster in shallow left. Pack makes the grab to end the inning.
  3. Molony rifles one back to Volantis, who gets Lauaki into a rundown. It's a 1-4-5 fielder's choice for the second out of the inning.

  5. Doza couldn't quite leg out an infield single on a high chopper. It ends a two-run, one-hit inning for the Longhorns, who lead, 2-0, after one complete.

  12. Volantis strikes out the side on his 21st pitch of the inning. Oregon threatens, but comes up empty against Volantis in the first.
  13. Good lord. That took way too long. The call is overturned to a walk and an advancement on a wild pitch. First and third, two outs for Oregon.
  14. The ruling has been changed to an HBP for now, forcing Gimenez to stay at second base.
  15. Ball four to Smith and Volantis' second wild pitch of the inning makes it first and third with two outs.
  16. A runner on second and two outs for Drew Smith, who might be the best hitter in a pretty balanced Oregon lineup.
  17. A nasty breaking ball by Volantis gets Laya down on strikes.
  18. Giminez leads off the first with a single to right. Larson couldn't quite get over to make the diving snag.
  19. An Oregon fan is getting chastised by an usher for trying to instigate things with Texas fans, throwing the horns down in people's faces during "The Eyes of Texas" before the game.
