We got the good version of Thomas Burns tonight.

Burns induces an RBI groundout. The run from third scores and Oregon leads for the first time in the series, 5-4.

And there it is. The heat gets Smith down on strikes.

You need Burns to throw one strike. That's it.

Walls exits with Smith in a 1-2 count. Thomas Burns is in the game.

Going with Walls tells me two things are possible: 1. Leffew definitely isn't available tonight (and probably the banged-up pitcher Schloss was referencing last night. 2. Crossland's misplay of a bunt in the regional was a bigger offense than Schloss indicated after the game.

Leadoff double to left-center for Cooney. Smith is up with the go-ahead run in scoring position. He homered off Walls last night.

A blooper off Borba's bat retires him. Texas strands the go-ahead run on third in the top of the seventh.

A failed pickoff attempt gets A-Rod to third.

That payoff pitch to Larson was nasty. Seemed like he had no chance. Two down with A-Rod on second for Borba.
