  1. Jonah Williams is on first base after getting hit by a pitch with two outs.
  2. Grubbs with a much-needed 1-2-3 second inning.
  3. Lawson retires Gasparino in foul territory to end the inning. No runs for the Longhorns, who leave the bases loaded in the bottom of the first.
  4. Rodriguez sends a rocket to third base. Lawson gets a glove on it, but it's a single for Rodriguez to load the bases with two outs.
  5. Schuessler keeps the inning alive with a two-out single to left.
  6. Back-to-back strikeouts by Galvan and Flores.
  7. Mendoza gets plunked by Pierce Coppola's second pitch of the game.
  8. Six runs on four hits with three left on base for the Gators in the first.
  9. The top of the first finally ends with Grubbs striking out Heyman.
  10. Lawson goes down on strikes. Two away with the bases full of Gators.

  20. A wild pitch scores Heyman and allows Evans to get to third. It's a 2-0 lead for Florida.
  21. It's RISP with one out for Florida. It's a 17-pitch inning and counting for Riojas.
  22. Tommy Farmer couldn't hang onto a drive to right by Evans. He lost the ball when he crashed into the wall. It's an RBI double for Evans to put the Gators on top in the first, 1-0.
