  1. Granted, you have to account for the gap in the series, but the Aggies hadn't won in Austin since 2002 before today.
  2. A&M ended the game shooting 50.9 percent from the field (27-for-53), including an 8-for-20 day from beyond the arc.
  3. McMillan described his offense as a flow offense that isn't scripted when asked how the Aggies were able to attack Texas with backdoor cuts on several second-half possessions. It wasn't anything opponent-specific, he said, adding that the Aggies ran their offense and didn't let poor shooting in the first half discourage them from doing what they do.
  4. McMillon said the Aggies might not have the front-line talent of some of the other SEC teams, but he believes they're legitimately 10-12 guys deep.
  5. McMillan: "Jamie Vinson was awesome." The former Longhorn had four points in six minutes today.

  7. Miller said tonight was the best statistical defensive night Texas has had this season. "For us to hold them to 64... If we look at ourselves in the mirror, that was the best effort we've had against a really good offensive team."
  8. Miller felt like both teams eventually wore down because the pace was so fast early.
  9. Miller said Tramon Mark's experiences have earned him the right to have a voice in the locker room. The team really respects him, Miller said.
  10. As good as Matas was tonight, his ability to run the floor and make plays in transition really stick out to Miller. "Matas is becoming a better player," he said. "He's improving."
  11. Learning from failure and learning from missed opportunities has been a big part of this team's journey early on, Miller said. Through that growth, he said, Texas is a better team than it was early in the season.
  12. Miller: "We're a better team. We're far from perfect, we can do things better and we'd better keep moving in that direction."
  13. In times of struggle, Miller said you have to own it. That means everybody coming together and working together to find solutions to problems.
  14. Miller: "The more that we're together, I think, the more we learn."
  15. Miller said the staff has done a better job of putting Tramon Mark in a position where he can succeed. Mark's consistency is one of things Miller said that can make the difference for Texas in SEC play.
  16. I'll have his full opening statement up as soon as I can after the press conference ends.
  17. Mark on why he's at his best in SEC play: "I just love the competition. It's the best league in college basketball. I love the competition and I love winning."
  18. "The more we can do that, the more games we'll win." — Mark on how continuing to pressure the ball and be aggressive on defense will lead to the Longhorns playing their best basketball
  19. Swain said the Longhorns must do the same thing they did after the Alabama game: enjoy it, but turn the page quickly and get ready for a good Texas A&M team coming into Moody Center on Saturday.
  20. Mark on what the win says about this Texas team: "Don't give up on us."
