Not only this, but has consistently been at 26-28% in her career. Combined with making less than one per game in her career along with taking only 28% of her shots from three, "shooting" is not what this would be considered

They both, along with LSU, play bully ball. It works, as long as the other team can be brought into the muck. UCONN does not play that way, and never has. UCLA does not play that way, even with a post the caliber of Betts. Vic will never have the depth to do it the way SC does. You have to create variance and advantage somewhere, and that is going to have to come with spacing. He uses Booker like the Pistons used Rip Hamilton, constantly off pindowns/floppy action to the mid-range. Fine with that, but it cannot be sustainable with 8 bodies standing inside of 12 feet of the rim. Not to mention his DDM concepts he loves would be much more effective if the defense had to respect three point shooting enough to create long closeouts.

Did you watch UCONN and UCLA play? Do you know why UCLA beat LSU? How about the title game, UCONN vs South Carolina?

Offensive x&o’s are of the utmost importance because the college game has become NBA lite. You need someone who can seamlessly create advantage situations for their best guys throughout the year, while also having the ability to adjust in game and on short rest (tourney situations). The old days of systems will go out the window because system programs improved as their players got older and more experienced. Nowadays, guys can play in three totally different systems in four years, so the reads and targeted skill development will not be as present as has been there in the past. Makes it harder to replicate the success of the Nova’s, UVA’s, etc.

Dude is considered an elite x&o guy at all levels of basketball, has the NBA credibility that allows him to sell himself to elite player (which we need desperately in this era, along with NIL), has cache among possible assistants to get the guys doing a lot of the day to day, and will coach for 8-10 years. I don't think you could ask for much more. I think less than 3% chance he would leave the NBA.
