American Conference Champ | Likely the CFP 12 Seed
The winner of the American Conference is most likely going to be selected to the College Football Playoff as the 12 seed, even if they aren't ranked in the CFP Top 25, just like Memphis was this past Tuesday. After beating Memphis last night, Tulane has taken a step closer toward the CFP. Five teams in the American have 1 conference loss: Navy, South Florida, North Texas, Tulane, and East Carolina. East Carolina carries 3 losses overall, so if they won the conference, they would likely not be the committee's selection. - - - - - - Resumes Tulane and South Florida each have wins over Power 4 Teams: Tulane: Northwestern, Duke South Florida: Florida South Florida has the H2H win over North Texas. Tulane has H2H wins over East Carolina and Memphis. Navy plays Notre Dame later today in non-conference. A win would be a boon for their resume. - - - - - - Remaining Schedules Navy has South Florida and Memphis left on their schedule. Tulane and North Texas are through the difficult part of their schedule and will look to finish 7-1 in conference. Navy: South Florida, @ Memphis, Army South Florida: @ Navy, @ UAB, Rice Memphis: @ East Carolina, Navy North Texas: @ UAB, @ Rice, Temple Tulane: FAU, @ Temple, Charlotte East Carolina: @ UTSA, @ FAU It should be a very interesting finish as these teams not only fight for the American Conference Championship, but a spot in the CFP, too. - - - - - - Chances Outside the American San Diego State sits 7-1 overall in the Mountain West with a 34-0 win over California (the Aztecs are the only true contender in the Mountain West for the 12th Playoff spot as Boise State lost to South Florida and has 3 losses on the year. James Madison sits 7-1 overall in the Sun Belt. Even without a strong resume, finishing their schedule at 11-1 gives them a shot at the Playoff if the American Conference teams cannibalize themselves.

Football Scoop on coaching dominoes
The Iowa paragraph actually made me laugh out loud. Three coaches from 1979-2040 is 100% a thing Iowa would do.

Arch Manning must keep thriving against pressure when Texas faces Georgia
On the 50 combined blitzes he's faced in his last two games, Manning is completing 67 percent of his passes (30 of 45) for 508 yards with five touchdowns, no interceptions, no fumbles and four sacks allowed. The growth Arch has shown this season is special

Georgia Havoc Stats... Not Good
Since Georgia likes to blitz w their LBs, plays like this one from last year (or RB leaks, TE leaks, etc.) can help us gain tons of YAC yards in addition to targets to motion as Jeff and Rod discussed on the pod yesterday. Our OL last year was better suited at providing the length of time needed for this particular play to developβ¦ but RB / TE leaks can be a great counter to Georgiaβs LBs if they attack the LOS. SEC Championship
To your point, I personally prefer the three-way tie, not going to the SECCG at 10-2, with H2H wins over Georgia and A&M. You get time off from 11/27 to 12/19 for rest and prep and likely host a first-round game on campus.

SEC Championship
@Gerry Hamilton This tool aligns with the extended tie-breaking rules on the SEC's website: https://bball.notnothing.net/bracket_cloud.php?conf=secfb If Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Texas all have 1 SEC loss, then it becomes a 3-team tie and the tiebreaker is common conference opponents, of which we'd lose to both due to our loss to Florida, even if we beat A&M. If A&M were to lose to Mizzou this week though and we end up in a 2-team tiebreaker with Ole Miss, Texas beating Georgia would propel Texas to the SEC title game.
