I never understood the Hashtag hate. I think he made some good points, maybe he was a little overly critical but a lot of what he said about players and coaching decisions was on the money before alot of other people were saying it. I dont feel like he ever personally attacked anyone and argued his points pretty well. There are still some obnoxious posters who everytime I see them in a thread I know it is going to end up 5-6 pages deep of “I’m rubber you’re glue” schoolyard ridiculous keyboard warrior posts. I don’t think DeBoer is an upgrade over Sark though. Neither one of them has the go for the jugular mentality that Kirby or Cignetti. I hope he finds it.

I’m pretty happy with Kohen Brown and Bishop. If Michael Terry 3 or Lockett or Ffrench come on, and we get someone in the portal we are not in bad shape. i think Kohen Brown is really underrated.

Who was the last rod grader guard we recruited? DJ? Is Robertson going to be like DJ? Seems like we target tackles and don’t get a lot of interior guys, but maybe I am missing something on the recruiting news.

Ehhhh about Mateer. He gripped it just fine. I watched him in warmups at the game and he was zinging the ball. The pick he threw to McDonald in the end zone was caused by what is what between his ears and not his thumb. He made a number of great throws in the first half as well. Whether he should have come back and played or not is no excuse for them losing the game. He made the decision and they lost. We outplayed the criminals in every aspect of that game.

I feel like a lot of these recruits just throw Texas in to make their decisions seem more important—like check me out, I turned down Texas (Or Bama or OSU or whoever).

Connor Stroh and Nick Brooks had something to do with this. Hopefully they continue to develop, but they were glaring weak spots on the oline except for Brooks at OU.

It doesn’t really matter whether I underestimate them or overestimate them—I don’t play the game. I am just pointing out that Georgia’s pass rush is not what it was last year when we played them. Their pass rush is not what it was last year. I’d say Vandy and Florida have better pass rushes than Georgia this year. Be interesting to see if Georgia’s safeties are at full strength when we play them. I think if we play like we did this week, we will put up a helluva fight—just like Ole Miss did.

One thing that Simmons needs praise for is his run defense and playing the run off the block. Start of the year he was taken out of plays completely. First half he consistently worked his way back inside to make tackles.

Seeing how Niblett is being used, I hope MT3 grows into that role.

We have been recruiting man to man corners and are getting destroyed playing zone. Teams are finding the open grass and exploiting us. Really wish we played more man like we did at Ohio State but we aren’t for some reason. Is that PK or the position coaches fault? Having said all that, how good would our secondary have looked without all the holds that got called allowing receivers to get open?
