Wall of Shame
Bigs often are underrated and don’t show everything at once. It usually takes about two seasons just to figure things out, especially defending without fouling. Coordination can’t be simple with that size and height. Matas will be just fine.

Is it accurate that Arch has not attended previous Manning Passing Academy events or is that fake news or just a myth?

Chris Del Conte Gets It
That’s what the best managers do, focus on people more than tasks creating a trusting environment. Everyone who sees your friend’s post will feel the way he does, and understand the leadership’s commitment to a 46-year season ticket holder. It matters.

Oh no. Not Cam Heide!

When did college basketball hit its peak for you?
The Phi Slamma Jamma dominance was #1 as must-see basketball during that period. Recent Cinderella run by 15-seed St. Peter’s in 2022 to reach Elite Eight. In the current era we may never see a Cinderella run like St. Peter’s again. It was exciting to watch.

Dailyn Swain named SEC Newcomer of the Year
Swain as the top newcomer of the league is an difficult and special accomplishment in the portal era. I don’t know why the excitement seems muted. Fans hope players on future teams are talented and valuable enough to earn this award.

Men's Hoops: Texas might be back on the bubble after an 88-85 overtime loss to Oklahoma
I think 6-12 in conference last season and still selected for a NCAA tournament appearance. The conference tournament performance last season helped before the committee made final decisions. The team played well. I think Mark was the spark then and will have to play all out in the conference tournament this year too to make it happen.

Men's Hoops: Texas might be back on the bubble after an 88-85 overtime loss to Oklahoma
May only drop to last four in. Do a couple of wins at the conference tournament sway the selection committee?

Men's Hoops: Texas boosts NCAA Tournament résumé with a 76-70 road win over Texas A&M
The final college season of eligibility for Mark…I think. Swan song should be strong going out.

Men's Hoops: Texas boosts NCAA Tournament résumé with a 76-70 road win over Texas A&M
Team should be on the right side of the bubble in tomorrow’s bracket matrix across the interverse. Similar to last season, a play in selection is the worse case scenario. The Horns should be dancing in the inaugural season for the staff.

SEC Hoops Game Thread: Texas vs. Texas A&M
Matas spit on Vinson…we can do better than that behavior.

SEC Hoops Game Thread: Texas vs. No. 7 Florida
Fans have to give a coach time to build and young players time to develop. Today’s under the radar player becomes tomorrow’s best ROI with good coaching and opportunities to develop on and off the court. Buy low and hold strategies for a NIL bull market will produce good yields. It will require quality talent evaluation, discipline, and patience.

We finally seeing Codie as a four man, his natural position and can screen and facilitate from that spot.

Men's Hoops: Sean Miller's press conference ahead of taking on Florida
Micah Handlogten in a reserve role likely has an NBA future. Scouts know the timetable for development of Bigs is different. He’s on the radar screen…if you know what you’re looking at. Has remained at Florida to be coached by Carlin Hartman.

Men's Hoops: Sean Miller's press conference ahead of taking on Florida
Bringing Traore back versus Florida to test the injury may not be the best scenario versus the Gators frontcourt.

Three takeaways from Texas grinding out an 84-75 win over South Carolina
We know who we are Harvey, just having fun talking about it. But, we do know enough to know that a good Point Guard changes lives. 🙂

Texas beats SMU in “closed door” scrimmage
Why did Traore and Vokietaitis not play? Traore should know the system as a Xavier transfer, but why no Matas live reps in exhibition play to prepare for season?

Jam Miller Alabama RB…
Richard Young and Daniel Hill are ready to run. Jam is expected to fully recover and may be available later in the season. Ty Simpson will be able to toss it, but like every SEC team, will need a solid run game to compete for the CFP. The departure of Justice Haynes now looms large for the Tide.
