My grandpa lived in Austin and went to UT, but it was Earl Campbell's senior season when I was 10 that made me a Longhorn. I came to UT in 1985 and was there for some grim games against the aggies through 1992.

I got married in Montana on TX-OU game day 1993. The date was one that I had to live with. One of my UT friends was my Best Man and he gave up a lot to be there. I ignored the game until we were well into the reception, which was good because that year sucked for us. We are still married 31 years later.

My son goes to BSU so I watched him a lot last year. He got almost 1400 yds but he split carries with two other guys who had more than 200 carries between them. He is a real home run hitter who can break tackles on the way as you can see from those clips.
