I agree. I can't help but think that yesterday's poor showing was at least partially due to overlooking Mississippi State. Hopefully a lesson was learned. Vandy and Kentucky have proven to be troublesome to very good programs. No free rides is spot on!

I don't care what the yardage was on that 4th down, you never, ever take points off the board! To add insult to injury, the play call was piss poor.

According to The Austin American Statesman, Ewers is now listed as out for today's game. Not questionable, not doubtful, but out.

I came across this and thought I'd share it.

Does anyone think that if Georgia beats Alabama, they bump Texas in the number one spot? I think that if Georgia wins decisively, it's a real possibility. All we can do is take care of business tomorrow. The greater the point difference, the better.

I'd like to hear everyone's predictions and why you think what you do. I think it's 62-13 Texas. I think they'll score 13 on turnovers from the passing game due to our RB situation.

I think the teams are pretty equal this year. Georgia almost got beat by an unranked Kentucky their last outing 2 weeks ago. They were only 5 of 13 on 3rd down conversions. Alabama had 407 offensive yards in its last game with a 600 yard game under their belt. I don't think the Georgia defense stops them. I also think the home field advantage will play a big roll in a Georgia loss. The last time Alabama lost at home was last year to Texas. Alabama's explosive offense prevails in a close one at home.

I'd like to get thoughts on the Texas football schedule. I see a lot of people claiming that Texas has an easy schedule, full of cupcakes. They go further to say that the schedule will hurt Texas down the road. My thoughts are that; a. The SEC makes the schedules and b. Strength of schedule isn't as important as it once was because of the new playoff system. Will our schedule hurt us?
