I have become a big fan of Texas softball since Mike White became the head coach. I came across a video interview with new assistant coach Rick Fremin on YouTube. Sorry, I don’t know how to link it here. The YouTube channel is called In the Circle with Coach Pat. Search for it and listen to the interview with Rick Fremin. He seems very impressive in how he coaches and recruits.

Coach Freeman-Carrington is due to give birth in September so will probably miss fall ball.

Heard on the broadcast last night that Mike White coached teams are now 14-4 against Jerry Glasco coached teams. Not gloating but just an interesting stat.

I know Texas signed a zero-u transfer that was not allowed to play this season but is she involved with the team at all? I think her name is Sophia Bordi.

You guys need to watch the YouTube video of one of Ehren Earlywine’s former players…”Micaela Minner - Wonder Wednesday - Coach Ehren Earlywine fired. She goes to bat and defend Earlywine about what happened at end of his tenure @ Missouri.

Blake, I haven’t been able to watch Coffee and Football in awhile but did you guys have Mia Clemmer on. I seem to remember you mentioning it.

Hannah Wells was recently named national Gatorade Player of the Year.

I bet Goode goes back to 2B and either Martinez to 3B or Crabtree to 3B (either could be SS or 3B). Bennett just wasn’t consistent at the plate or in the field.

It seems to me that the outfield was already solidified with Stewart, Henry and Maloney. What Texas really needed was a solid 3rd baseman to replace Scott. Does Altmeyer’s hitting stats really add the punch needed in the lineup? Just asking and not trying to be a critic.

I have never understood why a regional and higher seeded host team is ever the visiting team. Today, the Texas softball team is once again the visiting team.

CJ, I know and enjoy those when y’all have them on. I was just wondering if maybe y’all could get maybe a weekly visit with Coach Schaefer during the season or something like that.

Not only are the coaches at Texas good at their craft but they are great to listen to while doing press conferences/interviews. I especially enjoy listening to Coach Sark, Coach Schaefer and Coach Schloss. There are other coaches around the country that are hard to listen too. OTF mods…anything in the works to getting a Texas Coach to do a weekly show with you guys? Schloss does one every Monday with one of your competitors via YouTube.

Rori just tweeted (X’d) that she is coming back. That’s huge for next year’s team! Now, Coach Schaefer needs to get a couple of bigs and another shooter.

If you didn’t see Schlossnagle’s postgame presser, you need to watch it and see his reaction to the very last question. He was pissed about being asked about the Texas opening. Called it a selfish question and seemed perturbed. Got up and walked out. It seems obvious that the hire will be him. 🤘🏻
