He's saying that DK was a talent that we should have pursued regardless of how he would have fit culturally (not that DK was not a culture fit, he in fact seemed like a good fit). There is currently a crowd of people, who, when we miss on a recruit we hear "well they're not a culture fit," and people have been saying that about DK. It's a bad-faith defense to a player not coming to Texas.

Maybe I was wrong, I just thought I heard that (or something about not wanting to play together) on past live streams. Maybe they get along, just didn't want to play together. I just remember hearing that we would get 2/3 when we were leading with Moore and that Lockett would have been the odd man out.
