This reads as if it was a rushed emotional decision. Not good look. If it was well thought out and methodical plan, you push hard for multiple young high potential players for mix of defense and offense power. You send him out East so he doesn’t shove it back in your face every year. You build for the long term not take a player at his peak with only declining years ahead. I’m less upset about losing Doncic (I’m sure the reasons were valid on some level re: conditioning, lack of defense, overall attitude / commitment) but what the Mavs got back in return is embarrassing. Good point but I’ll take coaching stability all day especially at both coordinator positions. Early games with new coordinators, lots of players still ‘thinking’ a lot about where they should be instead of playing free in system they know inside out.

@Bobby Burton…..Noticed ‘About Us’ page references OTF having 60k subscribers…. Assumed it was referencing subscriber count on YouTube…Hard to believe that number is already outdated by 11k as you hit 71k subscribers this week. Congrats on the awesome momentum. With the avalanche of growing members / followers / subscribers each week , you need to start updating your ‘about us’ page every few weeks with the new climbing subscriber count. The fact that Bobby has assembled all these amazing men under one OTF is CRAZY. There is literally no reason at all to pop to other sites other than to see how On3, Rivals or 247 each rank recruits (and recruiting classes). Would love to see OTF eventually have a player / team rankings section with industry composite scores the way ON3 does it where they list each of the other sites recruiting ranking for each player. That would eliminate any need to have any other memberships. Just sayin…, I’m not retired yet (I’m also class of 92, same as Bobby) but I feel like I’m retired during weeks when I’m listening to 3-4hrs daily of OTF, lol. Consider having an OTF members competition to guess what the subscriber count will be by kickoff against the Buckeyes next fall…. Winner gets 6 tickets to the A&M home game. Have it as a sponsored campaign for 7 months by Duck Camp or BKCW or John Donovan or whomever is willing to sponsor it pay for the 6 game tickets plus a fun game day experience. My initial thought when you add ArchMania plus a Top2 preseason ranking plus year 2 in SEC plus the rockstar lineup on OTF, I’m guessing something in the 135,000 range of OTF subscribers by 2p on Aug 30th!!! Makes me appreciate more and more Sark’s willingness to wear dual hat as OC and also his ability to maintain such high level of commitment from his core coaching staff. We’ll lose coaches each year (hope not but promotions happen for great coaches) but this is crazy what’s happening at Ohio State. Had to be gut punch to see Knowles leave for top rival Penn St as DC in ‘lateral’ move for more money and more control of defense. Agree. As a lifetime Cowboys fan back to the 70s, 80s and 90s, it is impossible to be a fan these days given the complete joke Jerry is. Only seem focused on ego, control and making money. Looks like he’s trained over 50 NFL Defensive Ends. Hope this happens as Sark keeps raising the bar. Completely understood your point and agreed with it. Realize my prior post may not have been as clear. It seems ironic that Day went from being ‘hated’ by OSU fans back in late Nov when they wanted him gone after the surprising loss to Michigan and now, after winning 4 straight, how would those same fans feel if he was able to get a gig in the NFL over the next couple weeks, leaving OSU like Harbaugh did to Mich last winter? Offensive minded coach with one of the best winning percentages of any college coach in past 50 yrs. Will be interesting to see if he stays.

I read this earlier today about ACC evaluating and thought it was a joke. They need to cancel conf championships IMO. Creates imbalance advantage as some teams get extra rest (eg Ohio State and ND this year). Name conf champs based on regular season results plus tie breaker. Makes every conf game count. In current format Notre Dame has an obvious advantage by always getting 3 weeks rest in early Dec. Expand to 16 teams for CFP and Top 15 (plus Highest Group of Five) simply get seeded with top 8 teams hosting round 1 the first weekend of Dec. Mid-Dec is Quarterfinals and 4 winning teams play in 2 premier bowl games on New Years Day. National Championship 10-12 Days later (on Friday night instead of Monday night) so that College Football ends just as NFL playoffs begin. This allows full month of December to be the month of College Playoffs. Heard Joel Klatt suggest similar 10 days back and loved the idea. This would make for 2 ultimate Vegas long weekends back to back in early January. New Years Day would be incredible if every year it was the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl that hosted the Semi Finals. National Championship could rotate. This year that would have put the National Championship on Friday, Jan 10th followed by 3 straight days of NFL Wildcard Playoffs. Feels anticlimactic to have College National Championship on Jan 20th. JMO.

Did you notice during the interview just now when he was asked what his plans are for next season, he didn’t exactly give an answer that would inspire buckeye confidence that he is returning. Will Day interview with any NFL team and consider bolting the buckeyes while on top?

I’m betting the entire Horns football team as well as all the coaches watched tonight’s game, went through all the emotions you’d expect while watching the game, knowing they had a real shot to be in this year’s game…….then they turned off the TV, set the alarm for 430am and said “time to get to work”. I’m so f’ing fired up for offseason workouts and spring ball to start. 2025 is gonna be a great season for the Longhorns. Hook em! 🤘🏼🐂🧡

Agree somewhat. LSU completely got it done on Daniel’s side of the ball. They had the #1 Ranked Offense in 2023. Could not do much better. Hard to believe LSU was the #108 Ranked Defense. That’s crazy, especially given all the talent they had on both sides of the ball in 2023. That’s one of many things I love about the Horns is the balance of strength on both sides. hook em!!

Unbelievably impressive win for Washington at Detroit with dominating offense all game, ~500 yds offense, 300 in the air, 3 of 4 on 4th downs and 5 defensive takeaways. Commanders kept foot pressed all the way down on the pedal when they were up by 10pts in the fourth quarter. DQ didn’t settle for field goal on 4th down in 4th qtr. Killer mindset. Jayden Daniels is special. It all starts with having a great coach (Dan Quinn was excellent hire), clutch QB (JD doesn’t look like a rookie)…….Commanders look strong in virtually all facets of their offense and defense. One of the best NFL playoff games I recall seeing in a while. I hope the Horns get this mindset next season. Total confidence in QB. Get more aggressive in 2nd half even when the Horns have lead…..#AllGasNoBrakes! Btw, as a lifelong Cowboy fan, this is painful as Washington looks even more dangerous than Philly. Horns247 members are understandably disappointed by the news but classy in their appreciation for Jeff and all he’s contributed.
