I still see Texas in the 7-8 range with 247 and Rivals. ESPN's class rankings is hard to navigate but it certainly moves Texas up.

I once was on a boat on a Sunday afternoon in late July, only to get a notification that a top recruit was setting an announcement for that afternoon. I rushed off the lake to get to my computer, only to watch the kid commit to being the best player for his high school he could be that season. No joke. You never know these days lol.

FWIW, Greedy James setting a "commitment date" was different in that he told Texas he was flipping to LSU ahead of time. Royal is not talking to coaches. Everything in this post we made last week still stands imo.
