Good question. Will dig, but I don't think it changes a ton. It allows Meredith to leave a year earlier, so perhaps the calculus does change in that regard.

How old is Meredith?  Is he expected to be at the start of fall practice? 

I like this whole re-classifying thing.

For those wondering, Texas moved up to 6th for the 2026 247 recruiting rankings, and dropped down to 6th in the 2027 rankings with Meredith’s reclassification.

Meredith and Smoke Matthews in the same class is pretty amazing. Plus Howard Hayward. Best corner class ever?

He’ll see the light at Kyle field and immediately transfer. It’s the yell leaders that’ll get it done.

Yes. Enrolls for fall semester, and will be available for practice

No on best corner class ever at Texas… probably won’t even end up being close being 100

Bishop was already going to train with the WR group this fall.

Just turned 18 in July.  Yes he will be participating in training camp from the start.

So really he could have been in the 26 class to begin with according to his age.    He's a LITTLE behind, but not much.  It's certainly not beyond the realm of possibility that he could play this year right away, especially if there were injuries.

Already noted but he's going to be with the WRs in fall camp and may cross train a little as needed.
