I hope to get production out of three of them and a couple of transfers. Don't think it will be a disaster if a few of the returning players don't develop. Have to be prepared for it. Hopefully, they can wrangle a couple of freshmen to add depth.

But expecting five to return.

Some of us were speaking similarly about this coming season, then they got 3 portal transfers, and that calmed the waters. Now they have around 10 scholarship DTs for 2024, with at least six with college experience. There are currently 5 scholarship DTs that are expected to return for 2025. As things stand today, the cupboard isn't bare..

There were at least eight "true" tackles out there. Not listing Swanson makes it seem like he isn't part of the tackle room. He is, regardless of his weight. Eight is plenty. People are just dying to make DT a crutch for this team. That way, they can say "I told you so" if there is a run of injuries there. People get weird about tackle. I get it. I do to, but try not to let it take over rationality.

I wonder who Worthy and Mitchell trained under for their 40 yd. dashes? That is a race befitting of specialized coaching.

I should have said 3rd string QB. For the past three seasons, both UT's 1st and 2nd string QBs have been injured at some point in the season.

Better depth at DT.

Fans have always been paranoid over the depth at DT. This year, UT's the depth at QB is more concerning, IMO. Who is the fourth team QB? We've had to go there before. A&M had to last year. Didn't Florida State? Part of the game.
