April 6 Weekend Big Visit Thread
Why did they just photoshop mom into a second picture?

Evaluating the Midway Point of Spring Football | Friday
I would love to see Sark tinker a bit with either a 4 wide set, or a real rotation at WR this fall. It sounds like we have 5-6 legitimate dudes that deserve to see the field.

Spring Football 2024 Updated Scholarship Count
I'm taking the under on this, but he has been known to be pretty reasonable and change his mind with spirited debate.

Thursday Recruiting Nuggets (10:46 a.m.)
Osborne is a great looking back. Does he have track times?

Big visits today for the Horns: Brandon Brown has arrived in Austin (Friday 11:27 a.m. CST)
Is he this cycle's Collin Simmons in terms of need? Crazy power at the point of attack.

Practice Notes from Thursday
The two small school guys I was most impressed with athletically coming out were Bledsoe and Derrian Gullett. I remember Gullett playing linebacker in high school and then sliding out to field corner and manning up their best receiver at times and actually getting pass deflections and picks. Then he ran some ridiculous time at the texas relays for his size as well.

No. 7 Texas vs. No. 2 Tennessee in Round of 32
I suddenly have hope that we will win it all.

Additional Recruiting Notes (Friday 9:51 a.m.)
I like Wafle, you always like to see Edge prospects breaking long runs as a RB and being super destructive as a defender. His disruption reminds me a bit of Vasek his senior season but with a thicker frame.

Freshman Notes - Catching My Eye
Sounds like a Texas One tailgate.

Observations from Day 1 of 2024 Spring Practice
I gotta be honest, I didn't see a lot of places for weight to come off of Blackshire. That guy is an absolute unit.

Freshman Notes - Catching My Eye
They are both elite prospects, they are just different players. Cook is going to be the volume 9 catches for 95 yards type, and Wingo is going to be the 6 catches for 130 yards type. Those two pair perfectly in this system as we saw with Worthy and Mitchell.

2024 Texas Pro Day Live Thread
I don't think anyone is confusing Sanders as an in-line blocker. He is a liability in pass protection, and an average run blocker. He is still a huge matchup problem in the passing game, and I think that will keep him in the 2nd or 3rd round. There are plenty of pass catching specialists in the NFL at TE right now. Ryan Watts at 11-1 Broad jump is insane. Where was all of this explosiveness on the field?

2024 Spring Football Preview | Defense
With that rotation, he shouldn't need to play more than 5-7 at any given time.

2024 Spring Football Preview | Defense
I don't think Lefau is going to struggle to get up to a good playing weight for the fall. a 5-8 pound increase is a pretty easy ask. I would like to see him closer to 230 if he can maintain his mobility and flexibility. RE: DTs, I know everyone is a little down in Mitchell at the moment, but it really depends on what he is being asked to do. If they want to adjust the scheme a bit with him on the field as a 2 down run plugger over the ball and just say "Don't go backwards", then I think he can play at that weight and be additive. If they want him going side to side, then he is going to struggle. I am most excited about Bledsoe. I think he is the guy who has the most ability to come on and flash this spring. Collins, Broughton, Bryant, and Savea is a quality floor to work with. If Bledsoe can be a difference maker and Sydir and/or January can spell those guys then I think we are going to be fine.

2024 Spring Football Preview | Offense
I am actually quite curious to see the difference in our run game with Cam Williams in the lineup. He was leaving some smoking craters on the field last season in some of his run snaps. I would love to see him and DJ Campbell just road grading on the right side.
