I wonder if a hire like this is a 3rd base coach or a hitting instructor in baseball. Not every guy is going to be a “GM level” addition. These guys don’t have to move a needle, they just need to be the cogs in the Texas machine they’re supposed to be to keep the entire operation moving forward.

I think people understand that Sark is in control but they want the ax to fall somewhere for the problems they see and they know Sark is solidified. So the pitchforks are pointed toward Flood since he’s more expendable and an easier target.

As others have said, it’s important that this is game 2. Starting the season last year at Columbus was a disaster. The OL, Arch, and the running game were not nearly ready for prime time that early.

I know Sark & Co have done well. I know our WR & RB situation is vastly improved and that might even mitigate lesser IOL play. But I really want/wanted an OG. Hope something still happens. TECHNICALLY we have Baker and Sykorski. Don’t know how that changes the game.
