Checking In…
I sure hope you are right… There are some pants pissers on other boards right now fretting that we won’t pay what he’s asking, but that he prefers one more year in college, so that’s leading to conjecture that Texas’ offer isn’t good enough and he might portal.

Are you even allowed to have more than one Exciting White at skill positions on your roster if your school doesn’t reside in Utah or isn’t an extension of the U.S. military?

Hey @CJ Vogel and @Gerry Hamilton while y’all’s buzz is working and inhibitions are down… Is Goosby holding out for a better return offer and what’s the risk he hits the portal?

The problem is that last year's OL wasn't good at run blocking in short yardage, goal line, or red zone situations. It's a systemic issue. And that's why I say it's on the OL coach.

I’ve seen enough. He had three years to work towards replacing the 2024 starters… and this is what we got. We didn’t pick up anyone in the portal. That’s an abject failure in the evaluation of his own room over the past two seasons. We’ve had multiple huge whiffs in recruiting. For the past four years, our offensive line has showed little in the way of power run blocking and short yardage, with poor aggression and bad technique. Even the 2024 crew was bad in the red zone. The guy has OC in his title and gets paid like one, but he doesn’t even call plays or take primary responsibility for game planning. All he has to do is get his room to be able to block for the schemes Sark wants to run. So he’s really just a mediocre to poor OL coach getting paid like one of the most expensive OCs in the country and has shown no track record of being able to recruit or develop. The above in aggregate is cause enough for dismissal at the University of Texas, a place where he has had essentially limitless resources as his disposal. It’s malpractice for the OTF mods to not be having a more serious discussion about this topic. @CJ Vogel has the chance to start asking the tough questions at Sark’s press conferences.

What Steve Sarkisian liked, what Texas must fix coming out of loss to Ohio State
To win this game, we needed better execution and effort from our offensive line and running backs. Ohio State wanted us to run the ball. They sat back in Cover 3 snap after snap, daring us to throw downfield. If future opponents take a similar approach to Patricia, we'll need to be able to make them pay on the ground and force them to commit more players to the box. That will open up the play-action shots downfield, which is a big strength of Arch's game. We've had trouble running the ball when we need to in the red zone for three years now. I'm starting to think this is a coaching problem and not a scheme problem. I'm looking at you, Coach Flood.

Question for today’s show: @Bobby Burton, I caught your appearance on the Buckeye Scoop show yesterday evening. Is it just me, or do those guys seem a little delusional with their prognosis for the performance of OSU’s various position groups in 2025 compared to 2024? Dev and Melo think they have upgraded at multiple position groups since last year. Yet they didn’t mention any downgrades. OSU won the national championship last year and subsequently lost 14 dudes to the NFL, not to mention the turnover at both coordinator jobs. I don’t see how it’s possible they have a better team/performance in 2025 than in 2024. Also, I thought it was interesting they didn’t mention Sayin much at all, yet they devoted a whole segment to Arch. Thoughts?- Note on Junior Day

I guess time will tell. If he comes back to the field quickly, rumors weren’t true. If he’s out for a while, more likely they were based in reality.- Aggie Tears Thread
Anyone else hear rumors that Weigman’s reported injury is actually a cover up for off field issues?- Spring portal
