6 of our lowest 7 scores in the directors’ cup this year. Coach Flo has the history, but not the recent results.- 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
Haha, we had a great time but I'm not sure the Florida Panhandle is exactly all that much to brag about.- 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
Just doing the math based on others predictions, lol. It really did stick to the script very closely this year.- OTF Directors' Cup video
Thanks Bobby. It’s been a blast. Always nice to end it all with a victory!- 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
Sorry for not being more active here, especially over this exciting weekend. I was on vacation - tracking the track scores from the beach, lol.- 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
They are only so high because of the long jump championship. Most events haven’t been scored yet. They will slide down for sure.- 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
In track, Texas Men advanced both of the hurdlers expected to score big points with podium finishes. They also have a chance at a few Triple Jump points tomorrow. Projected to finish 19th currently Women's Track also advanced our 400m hurdler and surprised a bit with our 4x1 team advancing. Projected to finish 33rd currently. Importantly Stanford W Track is down 1 of their 4 events as they failed to advance in the 1500 m. Their long shot at adding points to their directors cup score is even less likely now. They did win long jump as expected and will have chances to add a few points in high jump and 800m. Unless they win those events, they won't add points. Projected to finish 23rd (need a top 12 to add any points). What this all means is that Texas M Track could clinch the cup tomorrow. They need only 30 Directors Cup points, which is a 44th place finish and is projected to require 6 points scored in the meet. They are projected to finish 19th with 16.5 points scored. One of our two hurdlers needs to deliver.- 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
Right now it is likely that the 2 dropped sports will be W CC (0 points) and M CC (27 points). Possible that W Track and field falters and scores fewer than 27 points and gets dropped.- 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
Stayed tuned! Planning to be on the show tomorrow am- 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
A few months off fortunately!- 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
It has become increasingly likely that Texas wins its 5th Directors' Cup. Almost unfathomable that we don't win it all. Stanford needs an near miracle to add any points at all and even if they win 4 out of 4 events they are entered in, Texas wins the cup with a measly 34th place finish in Track and Field. That would require about 10 points in the track meet. If Stanford doesn't add points in Track then we just need one of our teams to score 19 Directors Cup points, which is a 55th place finish and usually only requires 5 points scored in the track meet. And that is all assuming baseball doesn't add any more points. We will know track results prior to baseball results. This could be wrapped up on Friday after Men's Track goes final.- 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
Also, only the top 10 teams in each sport get points. So, Men's hoops gets no credit for their sweet 16 run. Football, nadda for being ranked 13th etc. The weighting of certain sports and the complete drop off in credit after 10th place can really bias things. - 25-26 Director's Cup Thread
