Attended Texas QB camp prior to his junior year where Steve Sarkisian offered him a scholarship. Lacey committed two weeks later. Lacey completed 219 of 315 attempts for 42 touchdowns and 3,448 yards during his junior campaign while leading Saraland to the 6A state championship game. Lacey, a right-hander, completed 200 of 314 passes for 3,177 yards and 40 TDs as a sophomore. Lacey participated in the ELITE 11 competition in the summer of 2024. He works out with David Morris of QB Country. Morris also counts Arch Manning as a pupil. -
