    The Texas Longhorns are expected to sign five offensive linemen in the 2025 cycle after inking three in 2024.     The Longhorns have added New Mexico State to their 2027 football schedule. Texas will play the NMSU Aggies on September 4th, 2027 and it will be the season opener for both schools.  Through a public records request, FBSSchedules.com was able to confirm the game and also confirmed that Texas will pay New Mexico State 1.6 million for the matchup.  The Longhorns last played NMSU in 2013, where they won 56-7.  Texas will also host both Michigan and UTEP in the following weeks.

    After wrapping an official visit to Texas on Wednesday, Long Beach State outfielder Trevor Goldenetz became the latest transfer portal commitment for Jim Schlossnagle and the Longhorns.
