Joining the California Power 7-on-7 team in attending The University of Texas March 22 will be 2025 DeSoto DB Sael Reyes. The 6-foot-1 defensive back has 26 offers since his recruitment began. Originally from Illinois, there is plenty of ties to the both the Texas area and the Midwest. Texas originally offered Reyes back in March of 2023, right around this time a year ago. Reyes and Texas have been rather off and on in communication, however a stop to campus with his 7-on-7 team coul

Texas will receive a visit from 2025 (Folsom, Calif.) defensive tackle Josiah Sharma in March. I traded messages with Sharma last night who mentioned a trip to Austin is likely to occur following the conclusion of the non-contact window. It is our understanding Texas will have a junior day-type visit weekend set up for the weekend of March 22. The 6-foot-5 and 300-pound defensive tackle was offered by Texas on February 1 following an on-campus visit from Johnny Nansen. Shama was also m

At the very end of the contact window, Steve Sarkisian and Jeff Banks made a trip down to Houston to visit in-person with 2025 LB Javar Thomas. The 6-foot-3 linebacker at Aldine Nimitz HS saw his recruitment grow in the month of January with offers from UNLV, Washington, Colorado State and Houston. Texas also got involved in Thomas' recruitment when they officially tossed their hat in the ring last Friday on the visit from Sarkisian and Banks. Despite having visited campus on January 2

The first 2025 NFL Mock Drafts are already being published well ahead of the 2024 season. As expected, the Texas Longhorns are well represented in various first round mock drafts. One of the prospects with the most intrigue at today's Elite 11 in Austin was 2025 Duncanville QB Keelon Russell. The 6-foot-3 gunslinger was mighty impressive today in the throwing circuit the Elite 11 puts quarterback prospects through. In fact, Russell earned an invitation to the Elite 11 Finals in California. Russell will attend the Texas spring game April 20 which raised some eyebrows considering the current verbal commitment from KJ Lacey to Texas. While the face time with the Te

Big Human in 2026 class to visit Texas in April Kyle Flood is getting a start on the 2026 class by hosting Euless Trinity OL Pupungatoa Katoa for an unofficial visit on April 13. Katoa is a massive human that the Longhorns have been monitoring for a bit. Kyle Flood visited Euless Trinity back in the early winter time to see Katoa in person. So far, the offer list has grown for the 6-foot-5 and 385-pound Trinity Trojan. Katoa sits with seven offers: Texas State, Utah State, Nebrask

Texas offered 2026 Legacy the School of Sports Sciences QB Keisean Henderson yesterday while on the road. I caught up a bit with Henderson following his offer to get the latest on his recruitment. Henderson received the offer from Jeff Banks and Steve Sarkisian on a joint phone call between the three. The 6-foot-4 playmaker added that the offer is in fact as an athlete and added the Texas coaches were impressed with his versatility and overall athleticism. Henderson has also been to ca

The Latest on 2026 Four-star Bastrop DL Tiki Hola Made the quick drive over to Bastrop to catch a workout this morning. There is plenty of talent coming up that I will get into later in the week, but 2026 defensive lineman Tiki Hola is the prize at the moment in Texas circles. Hola visited Texas during the January 20 Junior Day, and while Texas had yet to make a hiring at the DL spot, Hola spent a lot of time with Coach Johnny Nansen and came away from the afternoon with rave reviews.
