Four-star TE locks in Texas official visit

Four-star tight end Nick Towsend (Houston/Dekaney) has locked in a second official visit, and it's Texas.

Townsend, 6-3 and 220 pounds, will make an official visit to Texas June 21-23. There will be a visit to Austin prior to the official visit as well. Townsend is expected to visit April 6. A first visit of 2024 was the January 20 Junior Day.

Sounds like the recruiting is getting more focused in the near future.

I notice Dear has Texas in his Top 10.  Is Choice making headway with him?  Visit in the works, perhaps?

For sure. I do expect Dear on campus in April or June for an OV

Harris is a must get IMO. Bound to lose 2-3 starting receivers after this season (bond , golden, and bolden) .

I like Harris, don't love him in that regard. But he's a SoCal and Mater Dei kid ... Sark will always have a strong SoCal footprint

I really, really like Kelshaun Johnson and Kaliq Lockett.

Dakorien Moore will be recruited #ThroughTheWhistle

Lockett would be huge. I’m 100% with you on him

They already have Winston, so is it sort of a “whichever guy is excited to commit in June” scenario between Townsend and Armstrong?

My amateur hudl skills have lead me to liking Dear over Davison.  Am I way off base there?

Dear is tremendous, but Ole Miss is a real issue in that recruitment.

Yeah figured as much since we never have much luck with the Mississippi guys.  Choice hasn’t failed us yet though!

Dear speaking with Choice every morning and noting Choice's NFL experience is encouraging.  Now that he is visiting, I hope Texas goes full bore on his room decoration on his OV.  Pictures too.  What can the NCAA really do?
