Having THREE first rounders would be an even bigger stamp of approval for sark though if we’re being honest i wouldn’t exactly count AD fully as one of ours though he had his best statistical season at UT.

The reaches to take a QB in the draft are going to be epic IMO

You feeling 4 for 4 to start the draft and 6 in the first round?  I think we'll see 3 for 3 to start, then McCarthy in the top 7, then one of Nix or Penix before the end of the night.

First three for sure …

The talk of Bo Nix going to top 15-20 is wild to me

JJ  McCarthy going in the first round is beyond laughable. If he can then with a healthy season there’s no doubt Quinn can in 2025. I may be bias because i seen his tear up our swiss cheese secondary, But i think penix is the second best QB.

Kirk Herbstreit with a great stat … 46 first round QB’s since the Matt Stafford draft class…

only 16 have gone on to be big time player

10 have been solid players

20 - busts or journeymen

With Cincinnati more than likely to part ways with Tee Higgins could they snap Mitchell? Big bodied guy for burrow

Get herbstreit on coffee and football asap lol would love to hear his thoughts on Texas this upcoming year. Btw he just predicted AD Mitchell to win offensive rookie of the year

Totally agree with Hodge on Caleb Williams ... if he doesn't learn to not give up on plays in the NFL ... he's dead man walking in terms of being a big time player IMO.

I read earlier that Philly and Dallas might end up in a bidding war for J Brooks through trades, etc.  He deserves the attention - he could have easily left Texas for a starting spot at 95% of other P5 programs in the country.  He stuck with Texas with a loaded RB room and made it count this past season.  Lifetime Longhorn!  Super proud of that kid.

I'm admittedly biased, but I think CJ's impact in Houston and how quickly the franchise has turned around makes these other teams a little more desperate to strike gold with a QB in this draft.

Yeah. He's not my guy as a franchise QB for a number of reasons

McCarthy might end up being a fine QB but as a Giants fan I just can’t deal with that.  I spent years defending them taking a shitty QB at #6.

I feel like he’s a major reach as a top 10 pick in the draft. I can’t think of any game he took over at michigan, A glorified game manager.

13 straight offensive players. Damn. I read that Shefter thinks if Murphy falls into the 20s, the Texans would be a team to watch to trade back into the 1st round to get him. He'd be the perfect fit with Anderson and Hunter.

Rakestraw was a miss looking back. Think we just passed on him at the very end right?
