If we end up as the first or second team out, we at least carry some momentum into the offseason, and the staff gets valuable time to evaluate needed changes.

That extra time could help us set up for success going into 2026 and beyond especially when it comes to coaching and roster adjustments. Sark already has a lot on his plate, so missing out this year might actually be a blessing in disguise.

Nobody - save Georgia - would want to face Texas in the playoffs.

So, yes, you’d rather be the first team eliminated from the CFP than the Citrus Bowl champions.

No great teams this year.  If they make it in just have to avoid Uga and Kirby and they’d have a shot.

We saw this the first time. It was a dumb take then, and it is now too.

You can still focus on roster and coaching adjustments while still being in the playoff. It’s called multitasking.

I don't mean to be rude, but shut the hell up. 

We needed teams to lose today, that didn't. OU and Vandy won. Utah and BYU won, so did Tech. Miami won, too. Our slim chances are practically 0 right now. 

IMO we’re one of the top 5 best teams in the nation right now.  Yes, we want to make the playoffs.

This is a lot of cope. Everyone wants to watch Texas go and compete for a shot at a title. The seniors deserve it.
