I get how much NIL is a factor in kids' decision these days but if there's one position group Texas has shown they can put in the league every year is the DL...
Money is nice but I would look at long term.
And I wouldn't want to play for a coach that's being puppeteered by his 24 year old girlfriend, but that's just my opinion.

Probably not, but I’m sure an upper class DL from another school has put out some feelers.

Extremely hard

We may struggle to stay in the top 10 this year in rankings.  I wrote out an analysis of 3 stars in another new thread just now, and the weight of the 3 stars on the rankings will further tilt the class towards #10.

Gerry,  being reported on 247 that Justus Terry possibly could transfer due to NIL and broken promises. Chip Brown, (somewhat) addressed the Terry  rumor . Have you heard anything?

I don’t understand why we processed a defensive tackle in the class when another one was on flip watch…..

Look, I hate it, but for some of these kids, NIL changes the lives of their whole family. I have changed jobs and left places I enjoyed to go somewhere that paid me more, because that meant my wife could leave a job that she hated and find a better job that maybe paid less, or to allow my kids to go to a better school. 

I'm just saying I think UNV is a dumpster fire, but I can't be mad a kid for making a business decision, even if it's not the one I would make.

Choosing to go to UNC right now is just bad business.  Might be the worst situation in p4 football.

Disappointing. I don’t see how anybody would want to join that disaster unless the NIL package is that much bigger, which it must be. Seems that Max Wright flipping to SMU is a forgone conclusion at this point too?? Losing prospects in the trenches this close to signing day is a bummer. Hopefully there are contingencies in place or that money is now free to find immediate portal line help for 26.

It’s all going to get harder and we have a guy who was good at recruiting acting as a nfl gem who manages contracts. Texas needs a gm with experience managing money and salary. That is not Brandon Harris. I’m not saying Harris should be replaced but we need an additional staffer here.
