  • I'm told Steve Sarkisian had a rather similar, and more emphatic, message with the team after practice today. Along the lines of – I am here, and not going anywhere.

  • If the Longhorns need to take out some frustration by relentlessly putting the boots to Arkansas, so be it.

  • For whatever it's worth (and I'm sure the audio will be out at some point), Sark sounded pissed— not annoyed. Just pissed off.

If @Jeff Howecould mute everyone, he would have done it to me a long time ago. He doesn’t have the power to do it.

He is good at muting you 👀👀👀

I heard a rumor (or maybe I’m starting it) that Elko hasn’t delivered the original signed contract extension, because he’s negotiating a deal with Penn St.

A few of us here were always right about Dianna. She is horrible at her job. I can name probably 4-5 made up stories this week alone.

Be nice if he got pissed like that at his undisciplined team and bad coaching by some of his hires.Lets see 🤔

So OTF, what do think is Desmond's motivation for throwing this out there? Is he shouting fire in a crowded theater?

For attention. Lots of “analysts” get freedom to say what they want without consequences.

We live in a world of click-bait, look at me type of reporting. Rather than have facts and truth, speculate to go viral by raising eyebrows and generating conversation. He can then claim it was just a post on social media not in a formal setting without saying he has any sources. None of this beneficial to the Texas program coming from a Michigan alum, but got his clicks up and name in the headlines again.

Coach like it the rest of the year.

This is a tired and inaccurate sentiment. Maybe a few of you need to yell and fake alpha to be successful but almost all science tells us that emotions erode performance. Whatever small lift you get fails in comparison to the drop after. You can’t legislate another’s passion. That’s why recruiting the right person as much as the right talent is paramount.

Sark needs to look at his staff and his offensive approach in the offseason. That’s it. Emotions would color them more than help him.

Some of yall really don’t get sark’s passion, drive, and commitment. I promise you it’s hundredfold compared to any single person on here.

IMHO, He struggles with discernment regarding the theory of his play calls working and the reality of the pieces in place to execute on it. Now, if a light doesn’t turn on, it could be a fatal error that costs him this job. If you look back at film, he can probably point out that he had the correct play call 90-95% of the time. WR or hole would be open but others didn’t do their job to take advantage of this. He’ll have to evolve from this. We’ll have if he can. I think, and hope, he will!🤘🏽

More importantly and to the point, who cares?

It’s a nothing burger that he did it. The reactions here to it are the crazy part but that’s merica in ‘25.

She is sensationalist hack writing for a the Athletic - a gutter press rag (see the Arch Manning story)

We want him to fix issues on the team but we're going to crucify him for every decision he makes, and for having to answer rumors that everyone keeps talking about.  We still have a chance to get into the playoffs, but he has to get beat down while he's trying to prepare for a team.

He makes about 11 million a year. He will be fine. If not move along...

He was just craving attention. Nothing to see here.
