Haven't guys in the G-League been in college already or am I mistaken on that? Either way, it sounds like they might need to sit down and discuss what to do moving forward. Although knowing the NCAA....lol.

I've got a brother that works as an academic advisor with a high D1 program. One of the unsaid things is that now that there is this huge financial investment through lucrative NIL packages, them failing a class and becoming ineligible while making $1M+ is simply not an option. I don't believe since NIL became a thing do I remember any athlete being declared academically ineligible. Technically, I guess its possible but those academic advisors would probably be fired if one of their athletes failed a class and became ineligible so in that sense I'm not sure that it is possible anymore.

I've never seen officiating as bad as St Johns v. Iowa State. St John's fouls every time down the court, but the refs call it about 1 out of ten times.

I was a Science tutor for the UT Athletic department for awhile. The freshmen all had mandatory study hall. The center was packed every night. Tutors available at the center day hours and evening hours. Everything possible was done to help the student athletes be successful. 

Refs did their best to give St. John's the win, but they still couldn't do it.

I believe you and believe those folks are still offering everything in order for the students to be successful. What I'm saying is before NIL, you would still see some guys become academically ineligible because those guys refused to utilize all of the available resources (PJ Tucker). Now, that they're (in some cases) being paid millions I don't think you'll be seeing any of these guys academically ineligible moving forward because these schools literally can't afford for them to fail. They'll be eligible whether they utilize the resources or not.
