Maybe would have been different had he stuck with Texas. I think he was sold on Saban who left.

He committed to Texas then backed out and went to Alabama.

On the upper echelon of talent, but there were questions even in recruiting whether he might maximize that talent. 

The sad thing is that he thinks he is a super star, the coaches don't like him, and he is under paid.  

The truth is that he is not entitled.  He is lazy and mentally soft.  His commitment is to himself only.

The sad truth is that he will probably make more money by switching schools 2 or 3 times.  But he will run out of illegibility with no degree, a peek at the League, and a bank account that the leaches have drained.  Cynical, yes.  But, none-the-less the probable path.

you think anyone will pick him up?  he's undersized and hasn't done anything at Bama.  of the WRs that left from there, only Bond seemed to look good (for half a year any way).  

He's a mental red flag.

The least surprising headline I have seen since Sydir Mitchell no longer being on the LSU roster.

Sure, someone will take him and be glad to get him.  Watched parts of the Arizona State v Mississippi State classic (lol) last weekend and there were probably 6 or 7 guys on the two rosters who had washed out at Texas and moved on.  Several were big contributors even though they didn't crack the lineup here.

The obvious comparison would be to Brenen Thompson, the very fast but undersized (5'10" 165 lbs) kid from the 2022 class.  I think he caught one pass at Texas, then went to Oklahoma and didn't do much there, but at MSU he was their best weapon, catching 6 passes for 133 yards, including the game winner in the last minute from 58 yards out.

I'm guessing there are dozens of teams that would take Hampton and hope he could help them, but they'll keep him on a short leash like we did with Agiye Hall

Good point on Thompson. He has extreme speed which I’m not sure Hampton has.  
 

But either way, I hope Hampton can at least make the most of the opportunity for an education and NIL.  Gotta root for my East Texas brethren.
