I hoped to get to this on Coffee and Football this morning, but we just didn't have time. CBS Sports released their CFP projections and has the Longhorns facing off against Texas Tech in the first round. The winner of that game would play LSU.

The ND love is unreal. If the media really thinks Miami is now a consistent, national power, they've lost it.

If they can beat a&m, they face ZERO currently ranked teams the rest of the season.

This is true, but it doesn't make them true title contenders. In fact, closer to a paper tiger.

If strength of schedule really is an important component of playoff selection and seeding, it's hard to see how the alter boys land a top eight seed even if they win out.
