Yes Texas can. 40 yards passing in 3 quarters. First time since 2015 Texas hadn’t scored in the first 3 quarters in a game.

I’m this way … 1. Ohio State - defending NC earned it 2. Miami 3. ND 4. LSU 5. Clemson  6. Texas - have to get more from Arch

  • No, they aren't. Every 1-0 team in CFB won't be ranked higher than every 0-1 team. We can put a few bucks on that if you really believe what you're saying.

6. Clemson (That O-Line looked terrible. Hope Klubnik will be able to make it through the season.)

It’s going to be tough to judge Clemson because their toughest game in ACC play is home against SMU. They play at South Carolina to end the year so good chance they are 10-1 or 9-2 heading into that game.

Notre Dame has the run game to hang with anyone but that defense lost some key dudes from last year and CJ Carr is sure to go through some growing pains. The A&M game at home is now a must win for their season basically. They may not play another ranked team after that.

I would flip Texas and Clemson and I’d think about flipping ND and LSU but no just yet

Dang, we must have won the game then!

It looked like 2-3 quarters of Tyrone Swoops, I agree Gerry

Sark has put up lots of yards but not enough points.  That’s been the story of the last two seasons and game one of this season.  He’s baked the cake but keeps forgetting to add the icing to it.

So your original point is moot

It would only be moot if all rankings were based on wins. Every team that won isn't better than every team that lost whom they didn't play.

That is quite literally how rankings are based

The Clemson loss to me is worse than ours bc at home.

7-0 vs Ohio State in Columbus through 3 quarters isn’t the same thing that happened in Ames in 2015. Also, football is a 4 quarter game, so the “through 3 quarters” stuff is bs. Arch had 170 through 4 quarters. That 4th quarter wasn’t garbage time. A key mantra in football is the 4th quarter is the most important quarter. Let’s not forget that when trying to make a guy’s stats look worse than they wound up being at the final.

You’re being overly doom and gloom about losing a one possession game on the road while outgaining your proposed #1 team in the country by over 100 yds.

They actually aren’t. They’re based on the opinions of members of the associated press or coaches.

He’s had a total of 3 opportunities in scoring range so far this season, 1 of 3 conversions for points, two 4th down stops. Against a playoff team on the road. Almost assuredly a top 5 team in the country at the end of the year

Let’s give him a few more opportunities to see if we are actually improved this season. Sample size is a little small so far
