25 Days Until Kickoff — Who’s Your Favorite No. 25?

Featured Replies

Phil Harris from the 1963 Championship team??  Should be a picture somewhere if I have his number remembered correctly?

Chris Gilbert was the first back to have 3 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons in the NCAA.  Jim Bertelsen replaced him on the 1969 National Championship team.

Chris Gilbert was a fantastic player who is often overlooked.  Both he and Charles had 3 great years, but want to keep Gilbert's memory alive.

Chris Gilbert along with Ted Koy, #24, were the original HBs along with FB Worster when DKR introduced the Wishbone in '68.  Gilbert's signature move was to face backwards after contact and push with his legs due to his small size.  🤘🏼
