Xavier Griffin says Texas is recruiting him as a EDGE/LB. His first year would be as  an edge defender before moving to off ball after that he says. 

He says accurate height/weight currently is 6–4, 205.

Griffin says his decision will come June 29 — down to Ohio State, Florida State, Alabama and Texas. 

Bo Barnes, Zelus Hicks and Justus Terry were his hosts. 

There was a lengthy conversation with Sarkisian this morning about how Griffin would fit in the defense + locker room + culture. 

I think Texas gave him a lot to think about going into the final visit. 

Whole family rocking Texas gear as well.

Me thinks this has been the “Texas has decisions to make” reference you’ve alluded to a few times this week.  I’ve assumed aggy would try to money whip at least 1-2 recruits this cycle that would otherwise choose Texas, and aggy having Roseborough and Krempin on OVs the week prior to their Texas OVs was no coincidence.

 It’ll be interesting to see how Sark plays this one…match the aggy offer for Roseborough here??  Or make a monetary decision to let an otherwise prized OL go elsewhere so that we have money to give other OL?

I would also guess the same conversation and decision is taking place with Ojo and his huge Tech money offer.  Do you let Ojo go to Tech or Ohio State, if you are confident you can land Roseborough, Turntine, and Krempin to fill the OL class?

I have thought all along that we would only get two of Ojo, Turntine, and Roseborough, so this is playing out exactly as I anticipated.  We will lose one of Ojo or Roseborough to Tech or aggy (but not both).

Education and relationship with the coaching staff are going to be the two big factors for the decision coming up for Damari Simeon

he met with McCombs advisors this morning. He said his plan is to study finance in college. Smart kid.

He was not dropped off by a Texas staffer as we have seen with every other official visitor thus far. Looked like he hopped out of a random truck. 

Some kids will take less to be on a better team and culture. That’s where the negotiations come in.

Does 5* for 205lbs Edge- Lb still mean ….insert n play like Ant Hill fresh fenom agaisnt Bama? Is he fast , are we expecting a yr to bake?
