The entire town of Canadian up in the Panhandle was evacuated yesterday. Other small towns like Fritch stood in the way, too.

We have a friend who checks in every morning on Coffee & Football from Canadian.

Our sincere hope is that you and your family are ok.

Please keep that part of our state in your thoughts today.

A nuclear facility has been evacuated.

 

Prayers for the folks in West Texas.  Been there, it's rough.

I started following this on X yesterday while I was home sick. Massive fires out there right now. Last I saw one of them was 500,000 acres is 0% contained.

Helpful hint that I've learned: After copying the link to said tweet, when posting here, right click in the text box and click "paste as plain text". It will embed it for you.

It could be that the tweet author has the option selected to not be able to embed the tweet. I run into that from time to time in the "Today's Texas Tweets" thread.

Absolutely horrible!! Prayers for all families affected by this along with all those working the front lines.
