A few thoughts: We should be proud of this group. Obviously a very disappointing ending and embarrassing to be honest but none of us had the expectation that this team should win the SEC. We all

Team peaked too early and was ultimately rocked by Spencer’s injury. That had a huge ripple effect on the rest of the staff and pitching was never the same after. Also stinks that Gasparino and Flores lost their bats about 2 months ago and never found them.

I agree with the sentiment that this team probably overachieved early for what it was. That said, great first season for Schloss and hope he is ready to re-load for 2026.

hmmmm...I don't know...usually you play the first 40 games to get yourself in position to make a run...we just didn't make the improvements you need to make once we got there.  And the truth is that we had a nasty habit of striking out 10+ times in games...on a regular basis.  That's just a sign of a lack of talent, even though it can certainly be argued that most teams out there were LESS talented.

We had a FEW guys, Bleyeu, for instance, with some talent that has a chance to go on to MLB in the future.  We'll see from here what he does.

I'm sure there will be better days ahead, but it will be a while before we see that.

Also, that UTSA team can really play. Wouldn’t shock me if they make it to Omaha.

They've got something special about them, for sure. A senior-dominated group that plays with an edge.

Not really we just play like garbage against them

And if you do it enough you aren't the better team. UTSA is the better team 3-0 vs us

@Blake Munroe Any thoughts on how the draft might affect the current roster/incoming high school recruits? Also, any idea on what positions you see Texas being aggressive with in the portal?

I personally had a blast and truly enjoyed watching this team this season. I never would’ve guessed a 44-14 season. It was definitely disappointing how they finished but keeping the big picture in mind it was one helluva season that included series wins over agricultural and mechanical and boomer along with a conference title. Schloss and his staff are really good and better the future is bright.

Putting out a ton of baseball content this morning. It will address those questions. Working on it now.

Post-season thoughts, insider notes, portal/recruiting thread.

Will miss Kimble S.  Dude worked his butt off and was a great player for us.  He's not the only one, just my favorite.
