Baseball: No. 3 Texas vs. Oklahoma game thread (Friday)

Featured Replies

2 outs, men at first and third.  Schloss out making some changes.  Also a visit to the mound from the 0u coach.  Crooks remains on the mound.  Chamberlain in for Gas.

I won't be doing the play-by-play like I usually would. The SEC title is wrapped up and I've got a family obligation, but I wanted to start the thread for those who want to discuss the game.

For good vibes, here is Craig Way’s call of the 3 HR by Belyeu last night.

  • This game is nuts.

I genuinely don't understand the pinch hitting in a game where we could have tied it up.  Agree with getting the guys some at-bats, but I want to win the series against them.

Stolen base, gooner dropped a perfect throw from the catcher.  Men now on 2nd & third.  A base hit ties the game.

I know Borba has been on base but I love this PH choice in Williams. He needs these ABs

Schloss calls Borba back to the dugout.  He's going to have Jonah come in to pinch hit.  Big spot for J-Williams!!

And we're done in UnNorman.  We will have to see how we go tomorrow.  Have a good night!

Happy we won the SEC but the way we have been playing…. We may get bounced in a regional. Terrible play to end the year

Baseball is all about momentum.

Terrible play is probably a bit dramatic.  Since April 15th we are 12-6.  The Arky series was a shocker, but other than that we've played ok.  Get the series win tomorrow and we will get some momentum back.  The bats have been coming back around.  As long as the pitching can hold up, we will be fine.

The funny part is it really isn’t.

A different pitcher takes the mound for both sides every day. You think we lose tonight if Volantis was available? If we win tonight with Volantis does that give us “momentum” going into a game he won’t pitch in tomorrow?

It ain’t like football or basketball where the same guys roll out day after day.
