Coming this fall, ESPN will have its own streaming app for $29.99. It will come with ESPN, ESPN 2, SEC Network, ESPN on ABC. In other words, should cover most (except the Ohio State game) games this upcoming season. With the way streaming cable prices have been going up, this might be something to consider!

While I agree with the sentiments, unfortunately I will probably take this path as the only thing I watch is sports and this is more economical than paying $80> a month for YouTubeTV or any of the other streaming services.

Fox also announced their new streaming app yesterday with all Fox Channels (named "FOX ONE"), including Sports, News, etc.  For ESPN and Fox, these announcements come after the joint venture (VENU) between Fox, ESPN And Warner was scrapped due to anti-trust concerns.

I need local stations so I'll stick with Youtube TV. Add ESPN+ and I have everything I need. Disney says they are keeping ESPN+. For now.

No SECN is a deal breaker at that price.

Without espn plus can’t do it.

According to this New York Times article I found, it will have both. 
 

“If a fan subscribes to the main ESPN in any fashion — from the standalone ESPN direct to consumer or cable — they will receive all of the programming from ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNews, ESPNU, its college league networks, as well as ESPN+ and any games on ABC.”

Hate it and it's getting to the point where it's almost better to go back to cable, especially if they offer streaming service in addition to their regular package.
