Texas corners coach Mark Orphey extended an offer late Monday evening to 2026 Louisville cornerback commit Jaydin Broadnax.

The 6-foot-2.5-inch cornerback out of Boca Raton, Florida has been committed to Louisville since March 8. According to the consensus rankings, he is a top-30 cornerback in the country.

Broadnax is up to 40 offers in his recruitment after the Horns officially jumped into the race Monday evening.

Broadnax currently has four official visits set up for the month of June:

OVs:

  • May 30 – Auburn
  • June 6 – Syracuse
  • June 13 – Maryland
  • June 20 – Louisville

CJ, do position coaches need to get Sark’s sign off to offer or do they have a level of autonomy?

There is a good level of autonomy with specific positions, even if it isn't the specific position that is coached by the coach offering.

It looks like the large human theme is extending into the skill position categories.

PK is going after some tall and long kids at the CB position.

They sure do have a type (committed). Do any of you think the coaches play a game called “Bet you can’t flip that guy”?
