Quick Note on In-State LB With June OV (Wednesday AM)

Stopped by Georgetown East View this AM to check on 4-star LB Tieson Ejiakowo.

Ejiakowo had successful meniscus surgery on Monday and has been sidelined this spring.

I was told Texas has yet to make a trip through East View this spring. Johnny Nansen did stop by in January but so far no visit from anyone on the staff in the spring.

Coach Robertson at East View told me the hope is to use Ejiakowo as a field side linebacker this fall.

Putting him in positions to make plays in space and behind the line of scrimmage.

Robertson took the job in mid-February and said the first time he saw Ejiakowo in the weight room he was repping 275 eight times on the bench press.

Not making the 30min trip to check in on the guy you potentially want to bring into your program is telling. Get well, and enjoy it in Lubbock.

That’s how I’m viewing things now.   A bit telling that Texas hasn’t made the trip out there.

Love coach Robertson! Coached me back in the day at Stony Point. Glad he got a HC job. He went to UT as well
