Another thought popped into my head. Nagy as GM has to make decisions based upon what him and his team believe a players value is. I can see Nagy having a conversation with Stone and/or his representation to say “Enter the portal to see what your true value is” and then we can go from there. Makes sense from both sides. Nagy and OU haven’t closed the door on his return to Oklahoma. I’m rooting for him to leave and turn into an all American at Oklahoma State.

The reports I seen from OU boards is Stone made $800,000 in NIL last year and it was cut in half this year and I’m not sure if Nagy or BV is over NIL

Nagy is a smart enough guy but people who thought he would be an immediate magic worker have no clue how the sausage gets made. It takes time and it takes contacts.

This is the best possible thing that could have happened from our perspective. Criminals cut Stone's NIL because he just wasn't earning it. Stone enters portal. Criminal fans go nuts about "five stars," creating PR nightmare for the program. Stone returns for money. How does that play in the locker room and with future recruiting? We're gonna have to start calling Nagy and Venables "dumb and dumber."

Is there any where reported that he got what he was asking for. He might have returned after seeing there wasn’t a market with the price he was hoping for for him. He didn’t enter the portal on bad terms with OU.

Doubt we get official numbers for some time. Criminal insiders are saying he got more than the 400k to which they lowered him. Some are saying he got more than the original 800k. Don't know. Whatever the final number is, it can't help but be a problem in the locker room for how it was handled. Same thing for future high school and portal recruiting. That's why Nagy and Venables are dumb and dumber.
