Texas offensive lineman Malik Agbo has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, first reported by On3.

Agbo, a former four-star recruit, was often used as a jumbo offensive lineman for the Longhorns during his time on campus or in a fullback in short-distance situations.

In three seasons of play time, Agbo saw 171 total snaps.

Best of luck to the PNW native!

Expected or not, don't like it. Past real contributor.

Now he's wasting space because he won't contribute again.

In what exactly? Outside of being a jumbo package in which we used very little of this past year??

Actually, I was surprised it didn't happen last year.  He got buried on the depth chart and he's not a Texan.  He's probably gonna go back West closer to home.

Good luck to the young man. Good Longhorn.

It may have been expected Harvey but it had never been mentioned that he was expected to enter the portal.  Potential portal entrants generally aren’t mentioned until they show intent to enter. Or enter. Respect is always given to the players.

Texas sits at 80 scholarships by my count.

1 TE, 1 WR, 1 K, 1 DT, 1 best player available.

... if no one else leaves.

Edit: Not sure how I screwed up counting to five but I did. Add in an APB/return guy.

Count on a couple more leaving.

Obviously true. Auburn cost us an SEC championship.

The delivery might be a little off, but the message wasn't. We consistently hear of other linemen in the mix, even younger ones than Malik. Hopefully he finds a spot where he can play, and if he got his degree then even better.  But technically, yeah, he most likely wasn't going to contribute much going further
